Tis The Season of Giving

The twinkling lights of the Holiday season are popping up all over town.

In this season of giving we hope you will lend your support for our work by making a tax deductible donation. You can donate online at: leanweb.org/donate

Our state has given us many things to be thankful for, industrial flares not being one of them. Louisiana is a state rich in natural resources.  Our environment has driven us to being a leader in agriculture, fisheries, energy production and petrochemical manufacturing.  But when we talk about the environment, what we mean is "home" and to us, the most valuable natural resource is healthy people and communities.

Ultimately, the story of our environment is the story of our people:  plant workers, fence-line residents, fishermen, farmers, friends and family.  The Louisiana Environmental Action Network (LEAN) was formed to empower these people, share their stories and prioritize community health and environmental responsibility in our state.  We live in a complicated landscape of abundant natural resources, diverse stakeholders and often conflicting priorities.  It is only natural that amongst these circumstances, challenges arise.

Over the last three decades, LEAN has been working hard to address the issues that arise as Louisiana's diverse industries and inhabitants work to coexist sustainably.  Often the lone voice advocating for communities, LEAN is honored to stand with our neighbors and friends working to preserve the culture, community and environment that we all depend on.  We are proud to have your financial support.
